Default New Club Car Precedent Owner

Hello!

I am totally new to the Golf Cart world but am somewhat of a techy and wrenchman. I just purchased a Club Car Precedent have read SO many threads involving "tricking" the motor into thinking it's going slower than it is. I have taken in so much info that I am not sure where I need to start. I know it's frustrating that just when the cart seems to be at a good pace, the braking system makes it back off. So, I know you have been asked the thousands of times but, I want that to stop!! I think I have read something about a magnet? I am also unsure about making sure the what year model this thing is too. I think it's a 2010.

Thanks in advance for putting up with another rookie question!!

Welcome to BGW!
Yes, a magnet will eliminate regen and get you in the low 20s.
A Bandit motor from PQ will get you 25 mph with no regen.
Hope this helps

Magnets work perfectly on an IQ car.... If it's an Excel car they don't work at all. What's your serial number?

Here's a pic of it. Is it really a 2010?

You've got a 2008 model Precedent IQ produced in the 31st week of production in 2008.

Thank you!

This thing is in fantasitc shape with 1 year old Trojan batteries in it. I gave $2000 for it. That a good deal?

Besides a LT suspension, is there a way to smooth this thing out?

No sir. I know a superintendent's son that buys them from local courses and cleans them up a little and sells them. I think he has like five more for sale in you know anyone interested!
