Default easy upgrades

hello all
...new to forum AND elec carts.....I just purchased a 1998 48v club car and was wondering of easy upgrades for more speed/torque other than replacing motor

Is upsizing cables from 6ga to 4ga worth anything?

Cart goes 11 mph on flat ground....is this avg?

Thanks

11mph is kind of slow maybe a new contoller lift kit and bigger tires should get you somewhere

4 "gage" cable will not give you more top speed....you might see a small speed increase going up an incline. What they will do is allow the motor, controller and everything to get the power it needs. Small, dirty, nasty cables will generate heat in the connections, heat is wasted power that could be going to your motor. The only way to get more speed is to up the voltage, gears, larger tires or a higher RPM motor.

Spoke with Andrea at EMP about there motors, that is the way I am going for sure, motor(EMP) and wires, then lift, getting the two speed set-up, let you know how it turns out.
