Default 86 club car runs with Key off

While riding the cart the cart will start bucking and then will take off with out pushing the gas. The selonids get extreamly hot just before bucking starts

Have replaced the all the selonids, f/r switch. Wires have melted from the head and the Batteries are getting extreamly hot.

Any help or thoughts would be greatful

no problem

first jack up rear of cart when working on it
if you have replaced the selonids then check the micro switches
and all wiring

A faulty ground will attribute to the problem you are having .If not grounded properly the system will overcharge thus the heat .

The wires were hot and melting at the motor connections and at the F/R switch. The terminal where the ground is connected to teh batter got so hot that it came out of the battery

Excellent find CTD
I sent the following message to MODs:
This 5 solenoid diagram should replace what we have in the stickies. It is easier to read and detail is better. Diagram for 1983-1987 CC
