Default Club Car ds won't move

I have a 48 volt 1997 club car ds with an old regen system with a silver controller, when you turn it on the solenoid clicks on then about a second later it clicks off. Same thing happens when you have the ignition on and hit the gas, it turns on then turns off about a second later and the cart doesn't even try to move in forward or reverse. I have checked battery voltage and it is at about 50 volts. Does anyone know whats wrong?

Not sure if its the same problem but I just went through the same thing. Turned out to be the solenoid on mine. Check voltage on both sides of the solenoid the big terminals. Hope this helps.

Nope, not the problem because the solenoid is good. I just tested it.

Mine is a Regen 1 (same thing - but black controller with no run/tow switch). When mine did that some years ago, I had to get towed home - and after numerous tests (the details of which I don't recall) determined it was the controller. Other than a broken wire or faulty plug/connection (go thru them all thoroughly) - then it can likely be only one of 3 things. Your OBC's/controller activation circuit (check a wiring diagram on your cart for its location), your accelerator circuit (either V-glide or Pot Box like mine) - or the controller. Search this site for how to troubleshoot each.
