V - glide 3rd melted one
I have a 99 club cart 36v new battery's I have replaced the vglide 3 times now. The first time it got stuck in the mud and I pushed the cart to hard and burnt it out. The second two times I replaced it just driving in normal conditions and it burnt out. Kinda lost on this one any help would be great. Cart does have a lift with over sized tires if that help. uploadfromtaptalk1399741992981.jpg

You may have answered your own question , motor could be pulling extra juice to , or a combination of the two......i have also read that the resistor coils can have too much resistance ......make sure its aligned like in CTD's diagram AND its traveling all the way to the top contact ( mine was only going about half way to the top contact and was touching the last two at the same time and burnt in the same spot yours did if I remember right ) |

Re: V - glide 3rd melted one
Does the cart have resistor coils behind the batteries?

CCFanatic, yes. That brings up another good point - thoroughly inspect your coils to make sure they're in good shape and not cracked (sometimes they get hairline cracks you can't see) |

I don't think I lined it up that well. We'll it's a costly mistake but at least I learned something.:mad::mad::mad:

Re: V - glide 3rd melted one
If you put the lift kit and tires on a cart with resistor coils on it, it will melt V-Glides like nuts. I think that's your problem.
