As far as the actual factory replacement unit from CC, I have gotten them from golfcartking.com with good luck before.

Good morning. Here is what I need to know. I need to know how to permanently bypass the obc and use this other battery charger with timer board already in it. What do I do to the wiring to make it permanently bypass. Thanks

In 1997 the OBC had only 2 functions. One was to switch the relay on/off in the charger (and control charger output) and the other was to provide the neg (-) side of the solenoid activation circuit when the charger was not plugged in. This is referred to as the safety interlock. It disables the cart when the charger is plugged in.
On the back of the charger locate the 10g red wire and notice it goes to the main pos (+) battery. Now locate the 10g. black wire and follow it back to the obc. Cut it off at the obc. It should be long enough to reach the main neg (-) battery. If not extend it or turn your battery around? Put a 5/16 ring terminal on it and connect to main (-).
Run a separate 14g wire from the main neg (-) to the neg small terminal on the solenoid.
Note the cart will not disable when charging.
A person drive the cart off while charging. Always run the charge cord through the steering wheel before plugging into the cart to prevent this.

Let me know how this works.
