Default Club Car Caroche Question

I can pick up a Caroche for dirt cheap. But it is missing half of the exterior parts. Appearently all of the electronics are there. It is missing the master cylinder for the brakes, front cowl, and the seats. How easy is it to find parts for the Caroche?

Dang near impossible. The big problem with the Caroche isn't finding the stuff like the cowl and seats - those can be had with some digging, heck seats can be fabricated pretty easily. The problem is that you can't find the brake parts for one, and they have a hydraulic brake setup. The master cylinder from some sort of old Ford pickup is said to work - someone on here told me that a while back.

If you want a project - go for it! I've been looking for one for a while at the right price and I found one a while back, but it was just too far away to justify the purchase.

It is getting tougher. You will likely need to replace the master cylinder as well as all wheel cylinders and brake lines. I have used cable brakes only on mine for years and found it to work out fine. Although it is near impossible to lock up the 22-12.5-10 tires.

I had bought a roller for a build that I am doing. Took the body, to put on a gas DS. I still have the frame, with brakes, all the electronics had been striped for scrap before I bought it. If someone needs the brake parts, come get them before I haul the frame off for scrap.

I'd suspect that with a little fabrication it would be possible, onemorebeer put a caroche cowl and body on a DS.

I took the Caroche to a gas DS. Brought on some issues for myself. The body of the Caroche is about 2 inches taller all around. So, you can either cut the body or move the supports, I think fiberglass cuts easier than metal. It could be done, but you would have to add two inches to everything. I am not even through with this build, but if you do it, save that Caroche body for me! I will do another one. Even though some days this one kicks my tail.
