Which are the best??? For the sake of argument let's say the Trojans are the best and they will last 6 months longer on average than the Crowns.

$170 X 4 = $680 Trojan

$145 X 4 = $580 Crown

Estimated battery life, Trojan 66 months, Crown 60 Months.

Trojan $680/66 months = $10.30/month

Crown $580/60 months = $9.66/month

You decide.
Just a thought............

This is purely hypothetical, but any personal battery experience is purely anecdotal.

Get the Crowns !

Compare weight....... the Crown often has more lead which equals more capacity. Quality & warranty is equal to Trojan

We were told that Crown was the best. We've had them now for 3 months or so and they work great and it takes quite a while before they need charging. One thing we were told was to not re-charge them till they are almost dead, the batteries last a lot longer that way. Hope this helps!

Years ago I heard the same advice. I was shocked when I started researching on my own and read very conflicting information from the battery manufactures themselves. Turn out this old advice is Wrong wrong wrong -
Go to Trojan or Crown websites and see for yourself. Wet cell lead acid golf cart batteries can be recharged 5500 times from a shallow discharge or as few as 750 times from a deep discharge. New chargers are keeping the batteries in a float or elevated state between uses to avoid sulfation of the plates Plate sulfation begins when batteries are 15% discharged and is an irreversable process that eventually makes all batteries not respond to a charge.
I'm glad you posted today so we could debunk this myth once more for the new guys.

Don't take this old advice. See for yourself at trojanbattery.com
