Default battery

hey guys i was camping this weekend and one of the battery wires melted and melted the battery post any ideas why? and can anyone tell me the best brand of batterys i should buy. thanks guys love this site

you can buy "cheap" batteries at SAMS or go to a dealer and see what they sell, the best battery I think is Trojan, you also try your local RV dealer

If the batt is still god you can square off the post, drill and tap and use a bolt to repair it.

Make sure all electrical connections are tight. most importantly the battery connections. Be cautious though not to overtighten the repaired post it is softer than the others..

Also be careful not to drill all the way through the post and into the battery.
