Default Need help rear axle - brakes - lift kit - etc

Hey guys I need some help. I just put on a Jake's 6 inch lift and when I did so the rear brake cables were too tight. So I mounted the brake cable holder to the top of the axle/leaf spring and then proceded to swap the brake assemblies (driver to passenger side and passenger to driver side) so the cables would attach on the top and have slack. All went well till I tried to remove the brake assembly.... How the heck do I remove the axle to get to the assembly???

There is a retaining ring inside the axle tube. You need a pair of 90 degree retaining ring pliers

No just remove the retaining ring and the axle will pull out. The backing plate is attached with 4 bolts
