Default 2007 Club Car, New project.

Well the past month has been filled with lots of reading here and all the webs of the internet looking for advice as to what to buy for a project cart. I finally settled on a 2007 Club Car DS. I paid $1000 for it but needing new batteries. It came with a charger and a slew of other accessories. I have been posting in a different section of the forum but was asked to move it here to a more appropriate section of the forum. You can catch up here on the journey thus far. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...good-deal.html

Right now I have the cart rid of the old 8v batteries with temporary 12v batteries in it now just to cure my curiosity to see it run. Hopefully today I will get to ride a bit. The 12v batteries are charging now. I know I need new batteries that is first priority. Be a few weeks before I can get them though. I would like to use this post as open journal of my project to get help all along the way for choosing parts and troubleshooting. Thanks for the help!

Why are a set of 2/0 battery cables so expensive? Just bought the wire for $2.19 per foot and lugs for $1.39 each. Im in it for about $20 so far.

You sure that's a 2007? It should have had 4 12 Volt batteries in it if it was.

I would suspect not. If you look closely in the 4th pic, it has a lever style F-R switch, indicating it is a series. Club Car didn't make Series 48v carts in 07. What's the serial #?

Good eye. That's another indication that it's not a 2007.
