Default New to golf carts. Is it ok to lift a 36v Club car?

I just bought an '07 Club Car. It has a 6" Jakes lift with 23" nobby tires. I was told by my local dealer that it was not good to lift a 36v cart. I'm new to golf carts. Not sure what to do. What all do I need to do to my buggie to make it good. I'll be using it for hunting this fall and winter.

Thanks

You can lift them and lots of members have already done so. maybe he's thinking once you lift it you may need more power, hunting carts normally go for high torque motors etc, so the cost can get up there.
You found the right place for cart information, plenty to read up on before you start spending money!

Welcome to the forum!

it depends. if you have bigger tires on the stock controller stock gauge cables and stock motor. it is not good. if these things and a few others have been upgraded than it is OK

I was told the same thing. I lifted mine and it's perfectly fine. I say go for it. Maybe they were thinking 36v wouldn't have enough torque or something. Run the hell out of it until something breaks.

Are you sure it is a 36v and not a 48v?

I was wrong on the year model. It's an '03. When I took it to get new batteries the guy told me that it already had an upgraded controller, cables, and motor so I guess in good to go. Getting the Trojan batteries put in tomorrow. Thanks guys.

So has it been converted to solid state? How many fill holes are on each battery?
