charger and charging issues
ok so i have no idea what is not working but here it is. i have a 99 ccds 48v lifted 3" on 20x10x10 it will do 22-25mph on flat ground. but im having a charging issue when we use it a lot in one day meaning more that just running to the store 2.5 miles each way once my little breaker on the front of the charger keeps popping and when it doesnt its only giving me 8.33v in each battery i have tested all 6 battery's all are 8.31-8.33 and did a load test and all drop equity so where do i go from here after one trip to the store yesterday the whole pack was down to 8.11

Re: charger and charging issues
I would first try an OBC reset, located in the stickies, and if that doesn't solve the problem, then buy and install a charger repair kit for your model of charger.

Re: charger and charging issues
Does it seem like it takes a lot less time for your batteries to charge that it used to?

Re: charger and charging issues
That's a tricky thing to answer because my charger used to only charge it like 7 or 8 after changing the front breaker thing that looks like a v it's is charging at 15-18. So yes but I think that's because it wasn't working correctly In The first place.

Re: charger and charging issues
At this point I agree with Jake. Get a charger repair kit. If you have the capabilities I would check the bridge diode in the charger. It may be half-waving giving you half power.

Re: charger and charging issues
I went to the local cart shop and the lent me a charger for a deposit of $200 so I could see if it's my cart or charger. I took it home at lunch and plugged it and when I get home tonight after i drive it around and get the barriers nice and discharged I will reset my obc also to make sure I have the optimum level of charge on my batteries. If I reset it after I drive around for a wile will it make it charge better because it won't know what state my diaries are in?

Re: charger and charging issues
You keep a cart diary?
It doesn't matter when you reset the OBC, since the charger will know the current pack voltage and will charge accordingly... |
