Default Part of Motor stuck on Drive shaft.

I bought a 10.1 hp High speed motor to put on my 2006 IQ ds, I removed the rear body for an easier access to the engine swap. I disconnected the wires from motor removed the four bolts holding motor in place. I pulled towards the right rear tire. The engine housing with coils came loose but the guts of the motor stayed on the transmission shaft. I cannot remove the guts of the motor it is like it is sealed to the transmission.
Also there is a TON of black soot almost like a fire or something happened inside the motor and transfer case area. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Two questions:
-Any suggestions for removing the rest of the engine?
-Should I get the engine removed should I be worried about using the transmission with my new high speed motor?

Take the rear end out of the car. Take the passenger side tire off of the rear end. Take brake drum off. Flip brake drum around backwards and tighten lug nuts to where they are snug enough to hold the drum to the axle. Don't torque them down. With the aid of an assistant, lift the rear end up 3 - 4 feet into the air and drop the rear end onto a concrete floor onto the inverted brake drum. The drum is inverted so you don't damage the wheel studs during this process. The motor will fall off as soon as it hits the ground. If it doesn't, try it again. I've never had to drop one more than three times. Don't laugh. Try it and thank me later.

Can the motor be reused? It sounds like this has happened to you multiple times. Thanks for your suggestion, I am going to try it now.

Yes, the part that is stuck is the armature, and it can be put back into the case, provided you haven't damaged it during removal (easy to do). That does, however, require taking the end cap off the motor case so you can get the end of the armature past the brushes. The black stuff is normal.

You are the man!!!! I didn't have a helper so I could only lift it like 18 inches off the ground the second drop it popped off.

Now I am just wondering if the motor will still work.

Hard to tell from the pics, but the armature looks alright, so it should still work. Like I said above, you'll just have to take the case apart so you can seat the armature in the end cap (you gotta seat it in the bearing and get the brushes where they need to be). Then you just slide the case down over the armature and bolt everything back together.

To prevent this in the future, use a little anti-seize compound on the shaft sticking out of the transmission before putting the new motor on.
