Default 2 batteries are discharging fast

I have a 48 volt and 2 of the batteries are draining fast I put some Epson salt in them but didn't help. I noticed on the battery when take off cap it looks like sludge at top about the size of a qaurter and it's hard to. Not sure what this is. And any ideas on how to stop it from draining.

Do you sell batteries for living that you throw out go spend 1100 on batteries lol. Why all 4 there's no way to revive them ? If I had 1100 I wouldn't be in forum asking for ideas.

There is no cheap solution to bad batteries, you added salt to them for whatever reason but that isn't the solution. I think 1100 high, you should shop around for better prices, you can waste your time and money trying to revive these batteries but you'll never get what they were when new, not even close. These guys are here to help you and have lots of years of experience.

I hope that 1100 you referred to wasn't in US Dollars!

If it is, then you need to find a cheaper place to get batteries. While 12 volt golf cart batteries ARE expensive, I'd guess that the most you should have to spend is $800-850.

For $150-200 LESS you could get 6 brand new 8 volt batteries and they would last longer than the 12s anyhow.
