Default voltage reducer/converters???

Why such a wide spectrum of pricing on these? I've seen them for $20 - $120. How do I know what best. I have a 48v 2007 Precedent with 4 12v batteries and I want to add the voltage reducer to run stock lights. I want to add a separate battery for off-road lights and stereo later down the road.

Amazon.com: GOLF CART voltage reducer converter 48V to 12V 10A 120W: Home Improvement Amazon.com: GOLF CART voltage reducer converter 48V to 12V 10A 120W: Home Improvement

Would something like this work vs. the expensive ones?

yes as long as the draw is less than 10 amps and all lights are less than 120 watts
remember you get what you pay for

Saw this one too. I used to agree with you get what you pay for, but that is certainly not the case always.....and electronics seems to be one of those categories that can go either way. Just didn't know if anyone was running anything cheaper and successfully.......
