Default Helper Spring Length

In prep to adding a rear folding seat to a 93 CC 36v, I've checked the past posts and think I'll go with helper springs instead of the HD spring route ( was leaning toward the helpers because of successful use of overload springs on a couple of pick-ups in the past). This upgrade will only be for the rear seat as the intent is to keep this thing "stock" (maybe a "sleeper").

Cart Parts Plus has 2 helper springs of different lengths. Is the short one for the front and the longer one for the rear? Will they both work for the rear? Keeping in mind I have no reason to think the existing springs aren't original, does it matter which helper is used?

Thanks in advance to the guys that "been there, done that". You haven't steered me wrong yet.

CPP also has "Medium Duty" rear springs, and those are what's gonna go on my yellow cart when the HD lift kit springs that I removed a leaf from finally sag the rest of the way out.
