Re: voltage convertor
Lucky, do you have a voltage converter? It should be a 48 to 12 converter. Most lights work on 12V. I recently hooked up lights on mine and the converter I got had pos/neg in and out. I hooked the negative in to the negative of the battery pack and the pos in to the key point on the solenoid so the acc would not work unless the key was on. I also added a toggle switch which has pos in and out and a neg to hook up to the lights. If you just hook everything up to the negative of the batteries, this should be the isolation from the frame you seek. Hope this helps.

Re: voltage convertor
lucky, retract that, don't hook up everything to the negative of the batteries, just the in to the converter. Hook up the negative of the lights to the negative of the toggle. Sorry

Re: voltage convertor
DIsconnect the Negative cable from the cart at the last battery in the pack and recheck. Do you still get 48v at the frame?
