first cart questions...
Recently bought my first golf cart. It is a club car, seller said he thought it was around a '92 model. I had him put new batteries in it. Runs great, here is the issue. Seller said it was a 36v cart, it has 8v batteries according to my meter (46v combined). I am assuming he was wrong in saying it was a 36v cart. Charger is for a 36v club car. Now does it have the wrong batteries or the wrong charger? What now?

Re: first cart questions...
Then you have a 36 volt cart. You should be good to go there.

Re: first cart questions...
I'll get the serial number up tommorrow.
Is it normal to have a reading of over 8 volts on a 6v battery? And what about the 46v total on a 36v motor? That is the only thing that made me wonder. Thanks for the help!! |

Re: first cart questions...
A 48 volt cart will charge up over 50, Your at 46 seems a bit high for a 36 volt cart but you should be ok, it has been awhile since i have owned a 36 volt cart.
