Re: Why is this wire burning my $$ up?
I think that is where the controller gets its power for the walk away brake.
Is there any chance that could be happening excessively? Do you put it on tow when using that trailer? |

Scared to replace controller again if this is going to continue. I can get solenoid to click with jumper maybe some how to get rid of tow switch and controller still work or is it to smart for that?

Re: Why is this wire burning my $$ up?
I think the walk away motor braking function can be disabled by a dealer using the Curtis hand held programmer.
Anytime you are not pressing the accelerator and the controller senses movement by receiving pulses from the speed sensor, it will draw power from the gray wire to power the motor field coil. If the unrequested movement persists for a certain amount of time, the reverse buzzer will sound off as well. I asked about the trailer because if the cart is carried there and it can move just an inch back and forth, that would be enough signal to activate that function. Did you clean or changed the connector/terminal last time it happened? If the terminal overheated previously, it can cause a bad electrical connection now. Were you having any other issues before it happened, like the cart going into limp mode (8mph)? |

Terminal was cleaned. I am going to try to replace the terminal and #9 pin on controler but I fear it will still not run.It never went into limp mode .Just parked it on charger all was fine jumped in it to go and nothing.

There is a diode it the grey wire it is either missing or shorted causing the controller to burn up
