A few questions on heavy duty switches

I'm looking to install a kill switch in my 2010 precedent, with a double throw switch so I can complete the circuit TGJR describes here.

My first thought was a heavy duty toggle. However, I'm not sure if those are rated high enough for my purpose. Does anyone have experience using these in the ignition path (an example of one such toggle would be )?

The other option is to install something a little more beefy, like this SPDT rocker. It's rated 6A@48VDC, is that high enough amperage?

Any insight would be appreciated.

1 that switch will not work, You will need an ON - Off - ON switch.
2 current rating on the switch is low 5 - 10 amps should work.

Ah, sorry, I posted a SPST toggle instead of the SPDT. I meant to post a link to this one.

I guess my reservation with these is that they're only rated 21A@14VDC (link to datasheet). I'm not sure what the rating would be once the voltage is cranked up to 48V, it seems plausible that it would be < 10A.

I use a race car kill switch. Look on Amazon.com.

SPDT and it still needs to be on-off-on these can be on-on and its still way to big find a mini switch at radio shack
