And as for location, look under the dash up at the top of the floor mat area. Should be a metal tag slightly off center to the right or a sticker in roughly the same location. Let us know what you find out.

Thanks to all for the info, I'm dealing with a 97 electric golf car. This car is used on gravel/dirt path every weekend during the summer months. At the end of last season, when the accelerator was depressed, it went from zero to sixty immediately (no easing up to speed at all). I believe the only jerk was when I took my foot off the gas. It also seems like the solenoid clicked. The cart was parked for the winter, nothing fixed. I have now checked, cleaned and replaced the terminal connectors and fully charged the batteries (six, approx two or three years old). Now when I push the gas pedal, I feel the motor kind of thrust, but the cart does not move and no solenoid click. Any suggestions for a starting point of repair?
