Can lowering really be this easy ?
I would like to lower my 2007 Precedent. Looks like I can turn the front leaf spring over and do blocks on the rear ?? I have looked all day and not finding a lot on this.
Thanks for any and all input |

Re: Can lowering really be this easy ?
Really ?? No one ?? I don't want to be like every one else and lift it. If it works out I would like to lower it and this winter drop the roof about 4 inches. Maybe even drop the steering wheel but one thing at a time.
We got it on Friday, Sat I did the rear seat and mirror. last night ordered an the LED light kit and tonight bought a cover for it. |

The blocks on the rear, that works but I don't think the spring will function properly upside down.

Re: Can lowering really be this easy ?
I was think of doing the same thing for my winter project this year. It would be easy enough to flip the spring and see what happens. It probably would bottom out with spring arch that way. I was going to try to fab some spindle riser solution. If you do try the spring reversal, post some pics. Another idea along with shortening steering shaft is to lower the seat by relocating batteries between frame rails in front of motor. You would have to do some custom body work but it would look cool.

Re: Can lowering really be this easy ?
I have limited tools at the camp ground where it's at now. If I knew it would work I would do what it takes. Not knowing I would rather wait till winter and do it at home. Ez go sells a kit for theirs. I thought about selling and just doing on of those. I have very little in this one and it's pretty nice.

Re: Can lowering really be this easy ?
I did a search on lowering kits and found one guy in GA but his site is down. He may be out of business. I saw a cart a while back with hydraulics.

Search "slammed" in street carts and member rides read thru the builds but when I looked none were precedents

Re: Can lowering really be this easy ?
A member did flip them and reversed it due to too soft or the tires rubbed. Re-arch is above my pay grade. But if you can find a spare leaf to add to it then stiffness may return. I would suggest be the example and share with us. You can always reverse it. Searching and reading is good since it gives us ideas and the utohs!!
