Default Need help rear lift - jakes

Hey guys I just installed Jake's 6 inch double a arm lift and the rear lift is giving me a lot of problems. I have a D&D high torque motor. The rear lift "block" is a half moon shape that sits on top of axle - just kind of "floats" on top - doesn't extend far enough down to sit in the brackets on the bottom of the axle. My problem is that it doesn't seem to lock in the rear. The U Bolts don't seem like they are the right size - they aren't wide enough to easily fit around the axle and give it a very sloppy finished install in my opinion. When I go forward or in reverse it slips on top of the axle. I've seen other videos of madjax and jakes that have the lift blocks that sit all the way down into the axle brackets. Seem like that would be a better mount. Did I just get the wrong parts or has anyone had this problem? I also had to move my brake cable bracket to the top because my cables weren't long enough. Let me know what you guys did - if you have pics that would be great. I have a 2000.5 club car ds.

Sounds like you just need to tighten the u bolts. It should have come with a new plate/shock mount for the top and the u-bolt should go through that and the stock plate on the bottom.

post some pictures of your install
