Controller solenoid cover ideas?
Now that I upgraded the controller. solenoid, wires etc, the original cover was never meant to hold so much more. I modded up the original to fit sorta but I'd like to actually make a better one to close it more. The reason why is dust mainly, where I plan on using it is dusty roads, this doesn't fair well with electronics. Any Pics or Ideas, maybe I can use what I have and just add to it, I had to cut it up some to allow the wiring and solenoid to protrude out some.

Re: Controller solenoid cover ideas?
If you use a bigger aftermarket control like Alltrax you do not want to cover it completely. These bigger controls pass more amperage and produce more heat. They need to be exposed to dissipate this additional heat. They are potted in resin which makes them water resistant. The original control was not potted in resin which is why they covered it.
Below is the cut diagram for Sepex drive carts Hope this helps |

Re: Controller solenoid cover ideas?
Well that was easy, I hacked it about that much, should get good airflow. I wonder if that Curtis I got was potted, It has a heat-sink that is about 1/2" thick easy double that of the Alltrax.
