Default 02 DS IQ Throttle

I just picked up an 02 Club Car DS IQ cart yesterday. It has a Jakes lift kit with 22" tires, 18 month old US Batteries, Alltrax DCX400. The brakes needed adjusting so I took care of that. I noticed that the gas pedal has to be 3/4 of the way down before the cart will start to move in forward or reverse. Is there any way to adjust that or is it a problem with the MCOR?

I just got an 05 that is the same way....but it is all stock.

I suspect the problem is mechanical.

I thought that too, but everything underneath seems to be moving correctly from what I can tell. Now granted, I've only worked on Precedents so this DS is a bit of a different animal. Also this one is worse in reverse than forward. The pedal goes almost all the way to the floor in reverse before it starts moving.

I've done a couple of searches and see that there is a fix for the movement of the shaft within the MCOR by using a piece of 1/4" fuel hose. I am assuming that you remove the MCOR, slip the fuel hose over the shaft on the MCOR end and then reinstall the MCOR. If anyone has done this, please let me know if I am looking at this correctly.

. . . the tubing would be placed on the MCOR input shaft where it makes contact with the GO Pedal . . .

I'll second the fuel hose trick. It works perfectly.

Great. with a little bit of Vaseline to get it started, it's fixed or works like it is supposed to.

Now how do you adjust the toe in on a DS? I've done it on Precedents, but they have a tie rod on each end. The DS has a tie rod on the passenger side and then one long one connecting both sides together. The passenger wheel is toed in a lot and the driver side is almost straight ahead. I need to move the passenger wheel out a bit. I'll do a search but thought I would ask the experts too!

Thanks for the help!!!

OK, from what I can tell the tie rod on the end of the steering moves the steering wheel and the rear rod connecting to both sides adjusts the toe.
