Default New Problem, over charging

So my 2003 DS build is complete. It charged and cycled on and off pre-build, but the first time I charged it I came out in the morning and the batteries were boiling( Meter showed 50 volts)
Did I hook something up wrong! The Charger Receptacle was a pain. Also it goes in reverse fine and moves. But when I go to Forward, It will surge and then takes numerous forward/ reverse switching till it stays and runs in forward. As long as I don't turn the key off, It will run the whole course without a problem, Any idea's? From the charger receptacle the positive goes to the first terminal in the pack (Positive)
Thanks, Church

As to your second question, sound like you need to check your FNR switch.

As simple as they are I wouldn't think so, but ya never know. Just by your symptoms that sounds to me like I would start checking there, but I havn't dealt with those switches a whole lot.

Can anybody tell me which wire on the charger receptacle tells the charger to shut off? I'm trying to find out how it senses full charge.
