Default 2008 Precedent Speed magnet install

Hey everyone! Im new to BGW. Just wondering if anyone has installed a speed magnet on an 08 Precedent iq. I have speed code 4 already but i hate the downhill auto braking. Still, with speed code 4, I'm only getting 16mph. Will the speed magnet help?
Thanks!

All the speed magnet essentially does is remove the rev limiter from the car. If you're on speed setting 4 and only getting 16mph you need to figure out what's wrong with your car before you try and upgrade it with a speed magnet. Speed magnets don't add power. Speed setting 4 should get you 19.6mph and motor braking will engage to keep you from going faster than that. With a speed magnet the motor braking will let you go faster, if you've got the power to do so.

No problem. It's a pretty simple modification but lots of people don't understand how it works. It's sort of like having a car that'll only run 90MPH but it's governed to cut off at 100mph. Then you go and spend money to re-govern it to 200mph. But you're still running 90mph. The underlying issue is getting the power to the ground. Check brakes for dragging, check front wheel alignment, tire pressure, battery health. All of these small issues can add up and create a slow cart.

How would you check the brakes from dragging and battery health? Thanks!
