Speed Sensor Issue.
I have read through the whole speed sensor sticky thread tried everything and more. I posted in there a few days ago with no responses figured I should post here.
Re: DS IQ or Precedent Speed Sensor Test Hello looking for some help I bought a 2006 Club Car DS IQ it has a black label motor, and a black Curtis controller box. This cart takes off really fast then crawls at 7-8 mph. Took the magnet and speed sensor off local dealer said my magnet had a crack so i bought a new one off of him. Come back home put new magnet in speed sensor back on then take it for a spin same thing happens. I call him back told him and he said bring the cart up here he attached his diagnostic tool to it cleared all the old info out of it tested it and it said speed sensor fail. So i buy that from him I go straight home do all the steps again also checked to see if the new magnet was cracked. It was perfect so I closed everything back up, tried to go for a ride same thing happens. I need help I am really frustrated, I have checked all the wires to the controller and they all seem fine the connections are good. Can someone please help me? I tested the roll away nothing happens the cart just rolls a way no auto breaking and no peeps, although it does have reverse buzzer that is working. |

Re: Speed Sensor Issue.
Bad speed sensor. Get one from a site sponsor if you can not get the guy to give you another one.

Re: Speed Sensor Issue.
The fact that he sold you a magnet and a speed sensor separately throws up a red flag for me. The speed sensor from Club Car comes with a new magnet... I bet you bought a chinese knock-off speed sensor that wasn't any good to begin with.

Re: Speed Sensor Issue.
I bought a speed sensor from a Licensed Club Car Dealer in New Smyrna Beach for $189 + tax and replaced the magnet and sensor cart ran fine. Just wanted to give an update, thanks for the help.
