Ground for distibution block???
*2007 Precedent with 4 12v batteries*
After I install my voltage reducer I am putting a distribution/fuse block. One power (hot) to the block and then I can add fuses and run wire for accessories. My question is regarding the ground. Is the only ground I need....the one from the negative side of the #4 (last battery)? Can I run a ground wire from the #4 battery (if this is the correct place for my ground) and run it to a bus bar for all other grounds for my accessories and of course the ground for my voltage reducer? I just want a common location for my grounds and a separate fused location for my power (hots). Am I over thinking it? under thinking it? Am I even making sense....lol???? |

Ok....I just ordered a http://www.bluesea.com/products/5025 because the one I had didn't have a ground in it so I would have had to mount a bus bar too.
So I still just need to know where to supply my fuse block negative/ground from. Is it the negative post on the #4 battery? |

Your reducer should have a positive and negative out, you can run them to your distribution block. you supply all of the 12v power from the reducer, make sure not to overload the reducer. The negative if there is no place on your distribution panel you can run to a buss-bar then split off as needed.

You can run a neg from your #4 battery to a block you intend to use for your assy neg connections. If you want to you can connect that wire to the B- at the controller. It gives you less clutter in the battery area.

Make sure the ground bar on the distibution block does not connect to the frame of the cart. All electric should be isolated from the frame on an electric cart.

Looks good, that should work, make sure the black wire from the batteries should be common with the negative bus.
