Default Where is the 2003.5 cut off date?

Probably a stupid question, but I want to make sure that a "2003.5 or newer" DS is one built between June and December.

I was given a non-running cart with a serial that starts with AQ0348, which according to the sticky should mean it is a DS with the regen motor and it was built in the 48th week of 2003. I'm guessing that means it is a "2003.5" model?

no it means it was made the 48th week of production
most cart model years start in aug (year before date,.... 2002 for your cart )
your 48th week is in the last weeks of the 2003 model run

Look at the front hubs. If the dust cap is a silver metal cap, you have a 2003. If it has black plastic caps, you have a 2003.5. You probably have a 2003. I think the switch was around the 50th week or so

EDIT: Darn, CTD beat me to it

Cool! Thanks, guys. Good information. I shouldn't have assumed that the weeks number was a calendar year... It does have the metal dust caps on the hubs, so that makes it a 2003. From what I've read, that's a good thing, anyway, if I get a lift kit for it.
