Default 14's on 2009 club car precedent

Was wondering if anyone knows about putting 14" wheels on a non lifted 2009 precedent. Searched all over and haven't found a real straight answer. Any help or links to discussions would be appreciated.

It's not the size of the wheels you need to be concerned with, it's the tire size that makes the difference. I run a 205/30-14 on my cart with no rubbing issues. I have an ezgo though. Just find a tire that's the same size or maybe a small amount bigger than stock and you should be okay.

Looks like stock tires are 18x8.5 and using the tire calculator I come up with a circumfrance of 18.8 on the aftermarket tires, will .8 of an inch cause any problems?

I believe as long as it's less than 20" tall it should work. I've done it on a couple of EZ Go's, but not a Precedent. The biggest drawback is the ride with those low profile tires. On pavement it will ride pretty rough since there's no sidewall to absorb any shock.

Should be good as far as ride goes, it's a golf course only cart.

The other factor to consider is the rim off-set. As a point of reference, I have/had 225/35-12 on my 2008 Precedent when it was not lifted and had a little rub on the passenger side tire when making a hard right turn. It was rubbing on a small channel that houses some wires going to the front of the car.
Hope this help!
