What was the first year for the club car Precedent?

Hi,
Question for the board...
Looking at a Ebay guy selling a 2003 Club Car.. He said it is a Precedent but it looks like a DS?
Wasn't the first year for the Precedent in 2004?
No, I do not have the serial #

Yes, those carts are DS carts. Precedents came out in 04 but some people have 03 Precedents which are proto-types

Thank you for your response. I saw online that the Precedent model came out in late 2003 but I was not sure if the Precedent name tag still had the DS body style?
I told the guy the cart was a DS but he insist it was a Precedent with a DS body style. Did not make sense.

Two different carts, with totally different frames. The DS continued to be made when the Precedent came out. The seller is full of BS.

Maybe they are IQ carts that's why he thinks they are precedents.

DS is more than a body style the entire frame is different

They are probably IQ carts. I don't know how it is in California, but where I am, no golf course uses Series carts. All SepEx

I see,but you could not put a ds body on a precedent frame could you. If so the body style includes the frame don't it?

Body style dictates body - a GMC Envoy is a Buick Rainier and an Isuzu Ascender and an Olds Bravada and a Chevy Trailblazer, plus a Saab 9-7x. Same frame, different body styles. Saying its a Precedent with DS body style is like saying you've got a Corvette with the Impala body style.

Two distinctly different models with different frames, the only similarity being both are available in IQ.
