You still have to run the cable through the obc, or a stud like Scotty b sells.

Speaking of the stud, it is 5/16 I think, same as battery post. How can we gain much in amp carring ability with larger than 5/16 cables when it gets reduced to 5/16 going through the obc??? As Ricky would say can somebody splain that to me.

I just so happen to have a small pc of 2agw in my pocket that's been stripped on one end & The wire measures .260 so post are 5/16" (.3125) so Scotty's stud is actually bigger !

I was referring to the larger cables. 2ga is almost normal on this site.

The AWG table below is for a single, solid, round conductor. Because of the small gaps between the strands in a stranded wire, a stranded wire with the same current-carrying capacity and electrical resistance as a solid wire, always have a slightly larger overall diameter.

the solid stud, would act like soild wire , as long as the material is equal, is my guess
