ok problems problems problems
Ok I picked up a new, well older club car ds yesterday, I cleaned it up and charged it, the charge held as far as I can tell, but the problem is its smooth if you ease into the pedal but if you put straight to the floor or put more then my 100 lbs. son on it the motor shakes real bad. it fills like its slipping or your in one of the old vibrating chairs... not sure why it is doing this or what I need to check to fix this, any help would be amazing. thank you all!

Re: ok problems problems problems
Sounds like it could be a battery issue. If you have a meter check pack voltage.

Sure as heck sounds like the "shudder of death" that happens when batteries get weak. Get voltages of the pack, each individual battery, and pack and individual battery under load.

Re: ok problems problems problems
thanks to both of you, I was really hoping to hear that instead of something bad, I was told that the batteries were bad, that they wouldn't hold a charge, but I used my charger on them from my Tina and the cart seemed to hold a charge but its not like I can get anywhere with it..lol

Re: ok problems problems problems
hey if one of the two of you know how I can tell if its a 36v or a 48v that would be wonderful. the sr# says it an A9752-****** I know that its a 97, and its a ds but on the club car site it just says ds,,,, my Tina is a AA so I know she is a 48v club car but other than that I don't know how to find out.

Re: ok problems problems problems
"A" is just the generic code for DS golf cart. How many fill holes are on each battery?
