2008 carryall randomly stops or only goes very slow.

When driving the cart it will occasionally JOLT to a stop even though I am still on the go pedal. Also sometimes when I press the go pedal it will only go forward VERY slowly. If I completely let off the pedal and press it again it will return to normal function in both cases for a long time or a short time until it does it again. I triple checked all of my battery connections and my terminals are clean. The batteries all test good and are relatively new. I don't hear a solenoid click when it happens but it happens so randomly I can't really actively listen for it. I also can't find any correlation between wet weather or hot weather that causes it. If I drive a mile it probably would happen about 3 times. Thanks vey much for any advice you guys can offer.
