Plum Quick Question
I have a co-worker that he and I was talking about carts. He has a 2012 CC 48v (6-8v) and was looking to upgrade his motor/controller. He mentioned that it would cost him $1800 to do the upgrade. I talked with him about Plum Quick, but how does this work? He is looking at the Bandit model and would pay the core charge and mail his motor to Plum Quick or it once he swaps it out. However the process works.
Does he need a new controller or does the stock controller have enough amps? |

Re: Plum Quick Question
My understanding from talking with Rick at Plum Quick this week it that the stock controller is enough for the Bandit upgrade. I just sent my motor to him yesterday to have the Bandit upgrade done and I have a 48v cart with 6-8v batteries.

Do the plum quick motors reduce the amount of time you can cruise on a charge?

Re: Plum Quick Question
I did the Bandit upgrade on mine and it was absolutely the best money I spent on the cart. I went from 14 or so mph to a solid 21 with no other modifications. I have not noticed any substantial difference in run time. You cannot go wrong with the Bandit.

Re: Plum Quick Question
I sent Plum Quick a message and haven't receive a response. I guess those guys are turning out motors very quickly.
Does PQ just rewind my core I send them? One of my studs is loose and not sure if the coil wire is broken. Just bought a 1999 CC 36v Serial # A9938-804422. Motor model #5BC58JB36163B Will they rewind to change the voltage from 36v to 48v? |

Re: Plum Quick Question
They will keep it the same voltage I'm sure. Other wise your cart would not run a 48v motor. Considering you only have a 36v volt pack under the seat. Unless you asked them form a 36 to 48v motor swap. And I'm not sure if the motor will be the exact one you mailed them. They just use your motor as a core. They prolly have rack of brand new bandits on the self and just wait for your motor to arrive before they send the new one back to you.
