Is it just the charging part that goes out on the OBC. If so I would try a new charger.

What is the difference when you don't have a run tow switch as shown in the flow chart??? Mine is a regen 1. I think.

That is the one glaring error on that particular document - there is NO run/tow switch on a Regen 1 cart. The run/tow function is performed by the black GE T shaped controller via the key switch. If you have no run/tow switch, (only in years '95 or '96) - then you have a Regen 1. Also if its all original, you have a RED battery light - not orange.

As far as I know, it's like it came from the factory.
Sure wish there was a better way to charge the cart than the OBC.

There is - you can easily bypass your OBC and buy a DPI charger to charge it. You just can't (easily) remove the OBC on a Regen 1 without messing with the controller (a bad idea) - but you don't need to use the OBC to charge it. Any good charger will do the job.

Joesam

Are you telling me I can bypass the charging side of and obc and just charger it with any stand alone charger. If so please draw me a diagram or tell me how. The cart runs but will not charger. It's just a yard cart. Hate to spend a lot of money on a cart (1996)

Thanks

There are 3 wires at the charge receptacle.
Red (+) gray (charger relay trigger) and black (-)
Simply run the Black wire to the battery pack main (-) for charging

Will the charger still turn on and off????? If so, why does everyone want to take the OBC off. I just want my cart to charger. I runs fine. Next question, does the OBC have anything to do with the running of the cart.
