Default Motor stuck on fast

2000 Club car, bought it last month. All the sudden when I push the pedal, full power goes to the motor. No speed control whatsoever, does the same thing in reverse. This cart is said to have a high speed motor.

48 volts. As far as model, all I can say is the serial # starts with A0051-. It does appear to have a v-glide unit connected to the pedal linkage. I'm new to golf carts and still learning components, thank you for your patience.

After a little research, it seems to be a series model. No tow/run switch...

ok .. see if V-glide is working correctly .. seems to be stuck in high so wiper may not be moving

disconnect batteries before checking

V-glide seems to be functioning correctly, (very clean inside the case too, no corrosion). Wiper arm is moving with the linkage. Could it be be a solenoid? I only see one solenoid on passenger side next to what looks like a series controller (Silver rectangular box).

No Solenoid has nothing to do with speed regulation. It could be a throttle signal failure.
Pull throttle signal leads (2) from controller pins #2&3. Plug your meter into the spade terminals - set meter to ohms Ω and check the signal while somebody presses the gas. We need to know the high (pedal up) and low end (pedal down). You should be seeing 5000-0 Ωs

PS if you have a solenoid in the back of the cart and one in the front of the cart - you have a regen cart and I believe ... failure of the rear solenoid can cause your problem.

Please correct me but I thought all multi-step V-glides were 0-5k Ohms?

Nope. Around the 15th week of production in 1995, CC switched from 0-5k to 5k-0
