Default Cart will not charge

Went to move my cart after being stored in my warehouse for 3 months and the cart was dead and would not charge. I checked the batteries and they were bone dry. I had to put nearly 2.75 gal in the 4 12v batteries.

The charger still will not turn on. I even tried a buddies charger just to make sure the charger wasn't the problem. Any idea what I need to do?

Maybe try putting each battery on a car charger to see if you can get any charge in them. But, the are probably toast and so dead the OBC (if it has one) won't let the charger turn on.

Darver is correct you need to raise the voltage to a min of 30v to get charger to turn on .. i suggest you charge them to 12v each .. i really think they are dead but you never know ... reset the obc before you try charging them with cart charger ...it will help .. if you get charger to come on let it charge til it's done .. then re check water level and fill as needed
good luck

I filled with distilled water (needed 2.75 gal). Then charged each battery individually. Plugged in cart charger and it turned on. Checked voltage after one day charhing, read just over 48 volts. I guess they came back to life

48.40 volts is only 50% charged. I would run them through the charge cycle again and see if the come up to being charged up.

I am confused... It has never gotten above 48v since I had it. I thought that was normal. (4 x 12v = 48v) is that not how it works? I am an extreme novice.
