OK I see white box approx 5x4 inches with a hole In it and I couldn't get the new wire through so put neg wire beside the box. That must be the problem. I guess I'll cut the wire feed it through the hole and crimp on the other side.

Don't try to drill the hole out bigger. ScottyB sells a stud that you use when your wire is to big for the hole. Or if you are resourceful you can make your own.

Ok, wire is now going through obc hole and hooked up charger, went through test and is charging at 15 amps. Looks like you solved that mystery Mr Janice! Thank you ! Never would have guessed that one!
