Default 03 CC Pathway solenoid problem. i think?

The cart keeps eating solenoids. When i first got the cart it had a bad one. now i am on my third one and it just died. When i took the cart out today i unplugged it from the charger and it ran for about a 100 yards then quit. The charger seams to me to be hot when i unplugged it. Could weak batteries cause the problem? Any help would be appreciated.

I dont know how weak batteries can cause solenoid failure. A solenoid is a switch. Are u sure the solenoid is the problem? Have you checked all wiring and looked for shorts?

. . . depending on which charger you have, some run hotter than others to the point of unwarranted concern . . .

Here's what will cause a solenoid failure. Opening and closing the contacts under heavy load. Does your cart accelerate smoothly or does it want to snap your head back. (whiplash)

Then I should ask. What fails? Does the coil open or do the contacts burn open. Maybe you need a HD heavy duty solenoid. Maybe somebody put a high amperage controller in it and didn't upgrade the solenoid.

Did the Pathway come with hotter stuff than the regular ds carts? I ask cause it does run quite fast top end. Not to sure what is failing but i dont hear the click like i always do when i push the acc pedal.
