Default 2008 Precedents - flood damage

Hey Group

New to the forum and have read through as much as I can, some great information. I've got two 2008 CC Precedents (CE 0830) that were damaged in Calgary's flooding I've dressed them down to the frames and reassembled, cleaning as best as I could.

The motors were taken to a motor shop and cleaned with brushes replaced. The following new parts were installed:
MCOR, OBC,Solenoid,Run tow switch, F / R switch, headlights and turning signal, key and key switch, battery indicator.

Batteries are original and charge to 12.2 V, controllers purchased from eBay. When I hooked the batteries up I was able to get the lights working right away and the indicator showed full charge but nothing from the motor.

Can anyone assist with where to start trouble shooting? New to the forum so would appreciate any assistance.

So, the controller was not replaced? Are you getting the reverse buzzer when in RUN?

Thanks for the responses, I did replace the controller, but they were not new. Got them second hand on eBay. One of the spades was corroded on the reverse buzzer and is on back order. At present the buzzer is not hooked up. I do not hear the solenoid click only the click of the Go pedal.

Will double check wiring against the photos and wiring diagram.

Is the original wiring harness still in the cart? If so you most likely have a corroded wire somewhere.

I agree with the wiring harness. There are fusion welds where wires are crimped and sonic welded together that corrode and break apart.

I may be wrong about this but I seem to remember reading that the reverse buzzer has to be hooked up before the cart will run. I tried searching for the reference but I couldn't find it. Try taking the buzzer out of the other cart and see if it works.

Dave, what is the purpose of those welds? Do they do anything else besides crimp wires together?

Thanks again guys.

It's no surprise that both carts have near identical issues, spent time today on the second cart and had exactly the same thing happen lights but no motor. The reverse buzzer is also corroded on the second cart so will have to wait until the new ones arrive.

I'm worried about the wiring harness as well so that will be next if the buzzer doesn't solve it.
