The switch closest to the rear of the cart. Swap the wires around and see if you get reverse. If you do , the half speed resistor is bad. If you still only get forward, you probably need a new f/r switch.

Crash, remove the green and white wires (should be the top and bottom ones) on the furthest rear microswitch and jump them together. This will give you full speed reverse, but if it works should let you know the problem is in the switch or the resistor.

i don't know if that test will work now as cart is acting normal ... thinking on replacing all 3 micro switches Monday .. lighting around here right now .. rain is ok but the lighting has tried to get me before

was looking at only replacing the reverse switch

"the resistor" is that replaceable ? i see it in diagram .. would tapping on switch cause the resistor to work ?

You'd have to cut and splice a new one of the correct value in for the resistor, but honestly I don't think that's your problem. I'm guessing the switch is sticking part time and unsticking when tapped, and replacing it will fix your issues.

As for jumping the wires, thinking about it I'm not too sure that'd tell you anything at all, but you'd get style points for passing other carts in reverse.
