Default Precedent magnet and plum quick motor

Would it make a difference if I added a speed magnet to a plum quick motor?
Can you tell if there is one on here or is that stock?

That looks like it may be broken. may be you should ask someone at PQ. i PUT A SPEED MAGNET ON MINE AND THATS THE WAY IT LOOKS. Mine is a complete circle.

There were no broke pieces in there. I've never messed with a club car iq so not sure. I'll see what I can find out.

That looks like a home/custom made speed magnet from the stock magnet.

Plum Quick puts speed magnets in all of their motors. The magnet in the picture is a factory magnet they've turned into a high speed magnet.

Ok cool. So guess it wouldn't make a difference then lol
How about the speed code? Does that make a difference with a pq motor and a magnet? And is there anyway to tell if my cart has a speed code already on it?

if you already have a speed magnet I would put it on, cutting a magnet like that will put a small imbalance on the motor which might be felt at high speed. that doesn't seem to be very workmanship like

I have a bandit motor on its way. I confirmed with PQ yesterday that the higher/pay speed codes are not needed. I was told my precedent cart would run best with the speed code 3.
