Default New to the Golf Cart world

I am new to the golf cart world, I always wanted one but felt it was not the right toy for me. After working on a few of them and tricking them out with 12 volt accessories, I decide I had to have one. I did my research and bought an electric Club Car Precedent from an individual in the area. The cart is a 2012, I added a few accessories and custom seats, upgraded audio, a 6" lift with custom wheels and tires. I am wet behind the ears when it comes to golf carts, but I have learned quite a bit in just a few shorts weeks from all you guys in this forum. I had no clue how to charge the batteries but with the knowledge and experience from all the forum members and Scotty B, now I at least know the pros and cons. I have quite a bit of questions that I would like to post, but I will do so one at a time. Last night I, installed a hitch that attaches to my aluminum frame, it will be use to pull a custom trailer that I am currently working on and hope to have done in 2 weeks. I would like to know what would be the best thing to do If want to pull the trailer at a parade or a car show without ruining the motor. The trailer will be a look a like of my cart. Am I looking for torque, horsepower, upgraded cables. I want to do the correct procedure, so that I can enjoy the cart & trailer. If someone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Just an FYI, a Stock CC Precedent can tow up to 800lbs. You may not NEED a torque motor

To add to that our local airport uses a me lex 36 volt to tow twin engine airplanes, some are quite large.

Thank you. I am glad to hear that it can carry that much weight. I will need to find out how much my trailer weighs. It a club car DS turned into a trailer with front and rear flip seat kit. Once I figure out weight, I will need to add an additional 200-300 lbs if pulling some lightweights. I will be using primarily at car shows or events. My concern is more for longer periods of time and perhaps a parade where it may last longer than expected. Thanks this helps a lot.

I completed my trailer and hooked to my club car, wow it pulled the trailer with no problem at all. I was able to pull the trailer with 6 adults with no hesitation at all. We didn't do this for long periods of time but we where able to test. I am quite please but I will still do the upgrades that have been reccommended to me.
