I purchased a Pro Charging system that I want to mount right on a Club Car. the club Car is a 48 volt and the charger is a 48 volt 18 amp charger. Eagle Performance Series # 4818OB. I talked to a representative from Pro Charging Systems and he told me that all I had to do was land the black wire from the charger to the negative side of the battering string and the white wire to the positive side. He said that I did not need to disconnect the on board computer. Does anyone out there have any experiance doing this? I would think that I would need to disconnect the OBC since it is what controls the charging system now. Thanks, Joe

You don't "Have" to disconnect the OBC, but why leave it in there if it's not being used? What year make and model car? I'll tell you how to bypass it possibly, depends on what it is.

I'd leave it just so I wouldn't have a big hole were the OBC used to be.

I don,t know. What is an IQ car and how do you tell if it is? The Ser. # is AA0437-434030 if that helps.

Unhook the "Small" yellow wire from the solenoid. Add new wire in it's place and attach it to the solenoid where the yellow wire was removed. Attach the other end of this wire to the B- post of the controller with the large black wire. Unhook the #10 gauge black wire from the back of the charger receptacle (runs down into grey wire loom to OBC) and add a new wire. Attach new wire to main negative battery post. You're done.
