Default How to wire OBC to regulate charger again??

got a 48v Clubcar with powerdrive charger. Just put on Alltrax AXE 650amp controller, Allbright sw200 contactor, 1ga wires, HD FNR switch, GE Beast motor, and Trojan Batteries. I know the grey wire controls when the charger comes on or off but what wires to do I need to connect where to make my old OBC work just to tell my charger when to shut off? I would rather not have to buy a charger with onboard computer when I know I got the parts I need, just don't know which wires control this function of the OBC.

unless someone opened the charger and bypassed the low voltage sensor you shouldn,t have to do anything all should be fine................you did run the cable thur the OBC and not around it right? if you went around it either the cart isn,t going to run or its going to act up on you so make certain you put that cable thur the OBC...................if you ran around it i,ll bet youir saying to yourself how the hell do i get that terminal end thur there? you have to leave one end off and after you get cable thur than you crimp end on.............BTW welcome....................

Thanks guys... The OBC and Factory controller are no longer on the cart.. It has the Alltrax AXE 650 controller on it now and running like a scalded dog!! I just have been grounding the grey wire to get the charger to come on and then disconnecting it when it's charged. I think I'm just going to put a timer on my charger instead of wiring up the OBC again

I just finished almost the same build except I used 1/0 welding cable. I ran it around the OBC and left wire that goes thru connected the way it was, along with everything else in regards the OBC . will this be OK?

i don,t know have you tried using the cart? i know the OBC senses that cable and it hooks to the B- on the controller i,m guessing you,ll know when you goi to use the cart and if you have any trouble go right to that cable.................................

For what its worth the OBC does a much better job at charging then a timer... It's not uncommon for me to test good club car batteries that are over 6 years old. I almost never find that on a charging system with timer.
