2008 Club Car precedent extremely slow
I am a new member to this forum. I have a 2008 Club Car precedent electric cart which I purchased from a dealer 5 months ago. I have been told that it has the ADC motor and I use 4 12 volt batteries. The cart ran fine until one day while ascending a short but steep hill the power just dropped and the cart started moving very slow. Since then the cart will run very slow with occassional bursts where it almost seems normal. It seems to run pretty close to normal in reverse, and strangely seems to run faster uphill than it does on a flat surface. I replaced all 4 batteries but the problem still exists. A repair shop has told me that I need to replace both the MCOR and Speed Sensor. After reading several posts I now know how to test the speed sensor and will replace it if it is bad. So that leaves me with whether or not the MCOR needs to be replaced. I am no mechanic, but I can usually get the job done with some tech assistance. Can someone suggest how I can verify if the MCOR needs to be replaced?

Start with the speed sensor... What happens when you do the test? |

Re: 2008 Club Car precedent extremely slow
I did the test pushing the cart and there was no resistance at all. I removed the MCOR, cleaned it up, and reinstalled it. The cart ran a little faster but it is still not right. I have purchased both the speed sensor and the MCOR at a discounted price from my dealer as a repair shop told me both are bad. I plan to install the speed sensor first to see if that fixes the whole problem. I may install the new MCOR either way and be done with it for a while (I hope). I will be completing the work when I go to my seasonal campsite Friday. I will post results next week.

Testing the MCOR is relatively easy. A voltmeter, jack and 15 minutes could answer that. I could post the whole procedure, but i'm sure it's already here somewhere.
