Club Car Ds battery light
My battery warning light no longer comes on when my batteries get weak. Does any know what the problem could be? Everything else still works fine. Charges good and everything, just the yellow battery light no longer illuminates when batteries are low.

Re: Club Car Ds battery light
Hopefully you are not running the batteries that low. That is not good for them.
I would check all the cables, make sure the connections are clean and tight. I will be servicing my batteries tomorrow, I plan to remove all the cables and clean the battery post. My batteries are three months old now. |

I was thinking the same thing about the bulb. Not sure if it has one or not.

Re: Club Car Ds battery light
If you want to monitor your batteries a trouble light is not worth the trouble. Get a digital battery meter and run leads directly to the battery pack. IMHO the battery light is useless.

Re: Club Car Ds battery light
Two questions ...
What is that yellow battery light for, what is its function? I have a digital meter and I'm looking for the installation instructions, can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks! |

A digital volt meter is SIMPLE to hook up as it goes across your battery pack to read total pack voltage; only issue to watch for is observing for correct polarity. It draws so little you can leave it on 100 % of the time if you wish. I found two wires under the dash of my 2011 cart that read battery voltage all the time and when checked with a multimeter across the battery pack I found it read spot on exact. I did use a switch though so I can turn the meter off or check to see what my reducer voltage is but that's another topic altogether. |

Re: Club Car Ds battery light
haha. Don't worry about battery light, just connect your digital meter up to pos and neg on ends on battery pack. Like teecro said. Usually the pos connection is already directly in the panel, maybe only have to run neg to neg side of battery pack.

Re: Club Car Ds battery light
you can run the neg down the end battery of the pack and the positive you can pick up on the back side of the key switch ( that way it goes on and off with the key )
